Please read the above report by clicking on the title. However I have reproduced a couple of following pieces of above report that has been published on the front page of Times of India on 2 November 2010:

I quote…
  1. “India, stand by to welcome a wounded American President. A crushing defeat in the mid-term Congressional elections stares President Obama's Democratic Party on the eve of his four-nation trip that begins with three-day Mumbai-Delhi swing later this week."
  2. “But it has not made much of a difference, and things don't look good for the president. A 12-foot high stack of pumpkins piled on the White House lawns on Sunday generated jokes about why Democrats are running scared on Halloween, which President Obama celebrated with his children on Sunday night after taking a break from the pell-mell of last-minute campaigning.”
…Unquote.

The above comments have been made by TOI Washington correspondent on the eve of long awaited visit of US President to India. I think this is an untimely report about the defeat of Barack Obama’s party democrats in the United States when the President is going to make an official visit to the largest democracy on this planet. Barack Obama has a huge fan following in India and their feelings might be hurt by reading such types of comments against their idol. The president is going to have many sensitive interactions with Indian authorities and business houses and such reports on the front-page of leading newspaper might dampen the spirits of the delegates representing both the international sides.

I think this report would have been relevant had that been published in Washington Post rather than appearing on an Indian newspaper where the readers might not have really understood well its detailed contents. It is like publishing a report in Washington Post on the defeat of Congress in local self governments’ polls in Gujrat
